Who We Are

纽约寻声合唱团成立于 2023 年秋，现有三十余名成员。合唱团的名字“寻声”寓意着“寻找声音”，我们欢迎来自不同背景的成员，共同探索和声的力量与共鸣。寻声是一个非营利、试唱制的合唱团，专为热爱音乐、追求卓越的华人歌唱者提供成长与交流的平台。合唱团主要演绎中文合唱曲目，融合方言及其他语言的歌曲，呈现多元丰富的音乐作品。寻声合唱团汇集了各年龄层的纽约留学生和在职成员，大家在学业和工作之余，构建了一个紧密相连的音乐社群。

Voice Seekers NYC was founded in the fall of 2023 and currently has over twenty members. The choir’s name, “Voice Seekers,” represents a search for voices and harmony. We welcome Chinese singers from diverse backgrounds to join us in exploring the power of harmony and vocal resonance. As a non-profit, audition-based choir, Voice Seekers is dedicated to providing a platform for passionate, aspiring singers to grow and connect. Our repertoire focuses primarily on Chinese choral music, incorporating dialects and songs in other languages, presenting a rich variety of musical expressions.

Voice Seekers brings together New York-based international students and working professionals of all ages, creating a close-knit musical community outside of school and work.

Mission

Voice Seekers NYC is a Mandarin Chinese choir that brings together voices across languages and cultures to create meaningful choral experiences. We explore stories through music, promote language and cultural exchange, and engage with diverse communities through performance, education, and collaboration.

Vision

We envision a vibrant, inclusive arts community where choral music transcends language barriers, connects cultures, and inspires both personal and collective growth. Through innovative programming and multilingual storytelling, we strive to be a voice for empathy, expression, and belonging.
